Subscribe     RealeSeller does Apple ... Real Estate with iPhones & iPads

Later this summer we are going to be adding some really nifty new features to RealeSeller in order to enhance the program, especially for iPhone and iPad users.  I thought I would go over exactly what you can do now, and then tell you how we are going to enhance RealeSeller to more fully support the features I'm going to describe here.

MobileMe
Subscribing to MobileMe will be a must have to get full enjoyment from RealeSeller.  Why? Because of the many things we have discovered in our quest to use the Apple iPhone, you will benefit from our research.  Since MobileMe is only $99 a year, it is a very affordable synchronizing solution, and using any web browser, you can log in to your contact data from anywhere with an internet connection.  You could even use your iPhone or iPad browser for this. You can check your Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Gallery, iDisk (stored files) and even locate your iPhone and/or iPad if it gets lost.

On your iPhone you will see your calendar events, contacts, etc., and you can even see your properties when RealeSeller is installed. All you have to do to get this feature is to place your contacts folder as a sub folder of the original Contact folder that Outlook creates. In my case I have Contacts, then Property Items under that. Other contact style folders can be added. Other categories of contacts if you wish. Newsletters, Past Clients, etc.

Once you do this, you can, in your iPhone, go to Groups, then choose Property Items, then choose the property you want.

Once the property comes up, you can look at your notes.  Since we have a PDA Notes feature in RealeSeller you can put just about anything you want in this notes section and read it when you need the info.  We will be adding a feature that will push the basic property information into your clipboard when you push a button. But, even right now you can do what you see here easily.

Information on your clients can be added by typing, or just copy and paste the information into the PDA note feature.

As you can see below, the Name, Nickname, Job Title, Department, and company name, a picture, as well as the telephone numbers, email addresses, the 3 physical addresses, and the notes (from our PDA notes) is sync'd to the phone.  As a side note here, this same data can be sync'd to your iPad in exactly the same manner.

This is the same property view in the iPad as it is in the iPhone above.

I can carry a lot of Outlook data on both the iPhone and the iPad.  Either one works.  The nicest thing about the iPad is the size.  It's small enough to carry around, and for many of us who no longer have the vision of a teenager, we can see the data a lot more easily.  It's still very clear on my new iPhone 4, but I don't even need my glasses if I'm looking at the iPad.

If you have an iPad but not an iPhone, you can make phone calls using Skype.  For just a couple of dollars a month you can have your iPad act as a phone. Can the iPad replace your computer?  In my opinion, not yet.  It may get there eventually, but right now I'd say no.  You can expand the iPad with some pretty cool things like the keyboard & dock.

The iPhone can also be plugged in to this keyboard.  And since it is a dock also, you can plug it in to your computer or a power adapter.  Both the iPhone and the iPad are probably the best possible tools to help you keep up with things while doing your real estate business.  They are easy to use, and you can use them anywhere.
