Tips and Tricks
Utilize the "Tip" feature:
If you hover your mouse over
things like drop down lists and text boxes, most things will have a 'Tip'
that will tell you what something is used for. They usually don't have a lot of
detail, but most of the time they are really there to remind you or give you a
clue as to their use. They can be very helpful if you remember to make use of
them.
RealeSeller Help Menu:
You can access RealeSeller help and information from the Outlook Help menu.
Almost all RealeSeller popup menu selections will be shown using the RealeSeller
icon (the red checks are there to highlight the displayed graphic in this help
file only). You can access RealeSeller Help, Manually Check for
RealeSeller updates, Launch the web browser which will load the
RealeSeller home page on the internet, and selecting About RealeSeller
will display a window with the version number and some other info about
RealeSeller.
Force RealeSeller to show the login dialog:
First, click the RealeSeller desktop icon with your mouse. Next,
right-click the icon to show the popup menu list. Now, press the Home
key, then choose Open from the popup menu list. The login dialog
window should show up.
Special Start-Up Options Menu:
First, click the RealeSeller desktop icon with your mouse. Next,
right-click the icon to show the popup menu list. Now, press the
Control key, then choose Open from the popup menu list. The
Start-Up Options window should show up and looks like this:

The menu window is used for several reasons, but its primary purpose is for
troubleshooting and problem correction. Simple Options
(5) restores the window to just a few
choices, the above window is the Advanced Options window.
Note:
Generally this window is here to help a tech support person fix issues that show
up from time to time and are fairly common and easy to fix. Be careful
when using these without guidance! If for some reason you tried to use one
or more of these features to try and fix a problem on your own and it didn't
work, be sure to tell the tech support person what you did try so that they can
take that into account when trying to solve your issue.
(1) Don't auto-navigate to folder -
Sometimes loading a folder might crash Outlook or make it freeze because
something about the folder is causing a problem. There are many reasons
this might happen. When it does and your options settings cause Outlook to
navigate to the last folder you selected, this selection will keep Outlook from
navigating to that folder.
(2) Reset Outlook Shortcut Bar shortcuts
- Sometimes the Outlook Shortcut Bar has some kind of issue. This can
happen for various reasons, but when a problem occurs (short-cuts disappear,
etc.), you can rebuild the short-cuts by selecting this option.
(3) Reset Outlook Menus - Resets all
of the Outlook menu bars to their original default settings.
WARNING ! ! ! Using this feature without
tech support guidance is not a good idea. You could very well delete data
important to you. Back up your Outlook database before using this Reset
feature!
(4) Reset RealeSeller:
Full Reset - Delete all RealeSeller folders and data.
Addins Button (6)
This shows a window listing all of the RealeSeller addin's. This button
opens a window displaying the list and is really not going to give any useful
information to anyone but the tech support person.
RealeSeller Grid Control used in
Browse Dialogs:
From any RealeSeller Browse Dialog: Right-click a column header of the Grid
Control. You can then choose Show fields, sort by this field, show filter
selections, and show the quick find feature. This expands the browse
dialog to include the same powerful features normally displayed in any grid
view.
