RealeSeller™ Troubleshooting Fixes

Note:  We try and help everyone, registered or not.  Please do not hesitate to call, send an email, or post a question in the forum on our web site.  One of the things that make it difficult to write perfect programs for Windows is there are just too many variations in hardware and software and try as we might, glitches do show up no matter how much testing we do.  This section will help you get past some of the most common issues.

An error occurs while adding or deleting items:  If you are still using Outlook 2000, there are some limits to how many items can be in a folder by default.  You won't become aware of the problem until you either start deleting a large number of items in several folders and reach that limit in the trash folder, or if you are importing contacts for instance, and you go over the 16K limit.  There are several possible error windows you might see.  No matter what the error message says, you need to check the number of items in the folder you are trying to add things to.  This is a generic error message that doesn't tell you much and may look like this:

Microsoft is aware of this issue and you can fix the problem.  You can read about it on Microsoft's knowledge base web site here:  "Allow upgrades to large tables" extends the limit of PST

To fix this issue, right click Personal Folders (or Outlook Today) and choose Properties. This window will be shown:

Click the Advanced button and you will see this window:

Click the box that says Allow upgrade to large tables. Select Apply, then OK, then OK.

This process is a one way ticket.  Once you change this, it can not be changed back.  It isn't clear as to just what the new limit is, but it appears to be about 64,000 items. Newer versions of Outlook do not have this type of limit.
