The RealeSeller™ Troubleshooting Guide

RealeSeller provides a lot of different interfaces that do a number of things and while it works in pretty much a flawless manner on the majority of systems, you may encounter a problem because there is something different about your computer. It could be a software conflict, a hardware problem, or a combination of the two. Some newer version of Windows may also cause the program to act strangely. Most problems can be solved. This section will help you fix the most commonly encountered problems and should not be considered either "comprehensive" or "the last word" when it comes to fixing any problem you might encounter. If all else fails please feel free to give us a call to report your problem and request some help.  Please remember to check the forum on the web site to see if your issue has been answered there.

Note:  We try and help everyone, registered or not.  Please do not hesitate to call, send an email, or post a question in the forum on our web site.  One of the things that make it difficult to write perfect programs for Windows is there are just too many variations in hardware and software and try as we might, glitches do show up no matter how much testing we do.  This section will help you get past some of the most common issues.

Some Common and Uncommon Issues:

Internet Mail Only Mode Fix:  If you are still using Outlook 2000, the default settings are for Internet email only.  This setting does not allow us to programmatically talk to Outlook Notes using CDO methods used everywhere else.  This problem is acknowledged by Microsoft and will not be fixed.  The solution is to set Outlook up for all types of email.  You are probably reading this because RealeSeller tests the mode you are running in when it starts and directs you here to fix the problem.  This isn't an issue for Outlook 2002 (XP) or Outlook 2003, and most likely for future versions.  Click Here for a step by step fix.

Invalid Certificate Error:  When performing an action in RealeSeller that causes a new e-mail to be created, you may encounter an Invalid Certificate error. This error could also occur when creating a new e-mail message via Outlook when you attempt to click the Send button on the new e-mail Click Here for a step by step fix.

Delete or Add Items Error:  If you are still using Outlook 2000, the default settings do not allow you to have more than 16,383 items in any folder, including the trash.  If you encounter an error when deleting a large number of items, or while trying to add an item to a folder that has a large number of items in it already, you may have to change the settings.  Click Here for a step by step fix.

Can't Create or Open Item or Object Error:  You may encounter this error after an upgrade to Office 2003 or 2007.  When you try and open or create a note you get a Open Item Error or a Can't Create Object error.  This is usually a corrupted files issue.  Click Here for a step by step fix.  In Version 3.0 we have tried to fix this problem automatically, so you may not even see this issue.

Error creating new note:  This error is similar to the above error except that a note can be created in Outlook, but not RealeSeller.  Click Here for a step by step fix.  In Version 3.0 we have tried to fix this problem automatically, so you may not even see this issue.
