The RealeSeller™ Flyer Creator

Creat
ing A Flyer Using The RealeSeller Flyer Creator:
RealeSeller has a template driven Flyer Creator that makes it very easy for the user to create nifty looking flyer's and also add new ones as they become available.  This section is made up of several pages because there is a lot of "show and tell" about the best use of this feature.

The Flyer Creator Buttons:

Tip:  This is just a suggestion, so feel free to use it or not.  If you want the flyer to tell someone as much as possible about a home then I hope you are planning to email it or print it out and give it to a client you have already met.  If you are creating a flyer to put in front of a listing, don't put every single detail about the home in the flyer.  Some people even go so far as to leave off the price of the home.  At this point you may be saying to yourself "Wow... that's crazy."  I say "Crazy like a fox."  Please keep in mind that a good sales person wants to at least get a chance to speak with as many people as possible if they want to increase the number of opportunities to sell or list a home.  If someone picks up your flyer and it answer's all of their questions, you probably won't hear from them unless it's the perfect home for them.  Here's the key to this tip.  They are obviously interested enough to pick up the flyer, that means they may be in the market for a home.  The one they got the flyer from may not be the home for them, but you'll never know that because they will never call you and give you the opportunity to find them a home that is right for them.  Anyone who picks up a flyer has at least a passing interest in a home and you have access to a whole MLS full of homes, and one of them might fit.  So, if you leave off some of the key information on your flyer, you may just get some unexpected new clients that you might never have talked to except they were calling to find out how much the property cost, or the number of bedrooms, etc.  You get the picture?

How does this system work:
Creating a property flyer is pretty much standard operating procedure these days.  Nearly every home with a 'For Sale' sign posted in front almost always has property information sheets (flyer's) located in a plastic tube or box on the sign.  This makes it very easy for anyone driving by to get some basic information about the home that is for sale and it has your name and information on it.  Since nearly everyone uses flyers, we decided that a flyer creator needed to be a part of the contact manager.  This version has a number of fancy features and with just a couple of mouse clicks, your flyer will be sent to the printer, saved as an attachment, or emailed to a prospect or client.  Use the image below for reference when reading about how to use it.

New Features:
Version 2.5.0 brings with it some changes to the Flyer Creator.  Our 'Lite Version' has been replaced with the full function Flyer Creator that uses a Template system.  This is the closest thing to a 'Publisher' program you can get without buying something extra.  Each part of the Flyer Creator will be gone over in some detail.

Printing:
Since we are creating HTML pages with the Flyer Creator, the Internet Explorer printing feature is used to print your flyer.  If the background images / colors are not printing then open Internet Explorer and choose Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab.  Scroll down to Printing (1) (see image below) and make sure you have a check in the box next to Print background colors and images.  Select OK, and that fixes the issue.  For some odd reason this feature seems to be off by default.

Getting started:
First, your property information must be filled in.  The information used in the Flyer Creator is taken from the Property Information, specifically the Details tab.  The title of the flyer by default is taken from the Description text box.  The property narration, the features, room sizes, and bullet point lists can all supply information used to build the flyer.  Your agent images, your company logo, and all other details are instantly filled in for you by default.  Going through and changing anything just takes a couple of seconds.  Once you select a property to make a flyer for, you can just select the Flyer Creator icon to display the view, or you can open it in a separate window by using your mouse to right-click the Flyer Creator icon and selecting Open in New Window.  The view above is what you will see.  The data and images will be different depending on which version of Outlook you are running, but everything should be approximately the same.  Each feature is explained below.

Using the features:
Each of the major features in the RealeSeller Flyer Creator is explained in the links below:

Using Basic Text Editing Features:  This section explains how to use the Flyer Creator to manipulate your text items font style as well as other attributes of the text in the flyer.

Using Standard Images:  Using images you have added to properties as well as your personal picture and your company logo is discussed in this section.

Using The Flyer Color Selection Tool:  A special color selection window written especially for the Flyer Creator needs some introduction and explanation of its features.

Using The Advanced Text Editor Feature: There is what amounts to a mini-word processor built in to the Flyer Creator for use with property Features, Room Sizes, Bullet Points, and the Property Narrative text feature.
