Pictures and Images in RealeSeller™

Basic information about the RealeSeller images feature
:
Several areas of RealeSeller have the ability to save and display pictures.  Currently RealeSeller recognizes the following image formats, JPG, GIF and BMP.  Any RealeSeller folder with the image feature works exactly the same way.  That is the reason for this single page devoted to this very powerful tool built in to RealeSeller.  The image feature may change in size and shape, but the way it works and looks is about the same everywhere in RealeSeller.  This is the basic look:

Using the image browse button:
Press this button when you have files on your computer hard drive, floppy disk, CD/DVD ROM, or a network drive that you would like to load and save as part of a Company, Agent, Prospect, or Property.  Each individual  or property selected in one of these folders can have as many pictures associated with it as you want.  Our example is using the property folder image viewer.  When you press this button, a browse window will open:

When you find the image you are looking for, select it and press the Open button.  You will then see a window like this one:

The above is an image of the Family Room.  If the image name is ok you do not have to change its name reference in RealeSeller.  Most images will need to be renamed so they can be identified at a glance instead of scrolling through all of them to find what you are looking for.  In this case I typed in Family Room and clicked Ok as you can see here:

Once Ok is pressed, a new image was added to my current list of images:

Because information about our property has changed, press the Property Save button when you finish.  You will be prompted when necessary to save an update to the item you are editing if you forget to do this.

Removing an image:
Select the image name in your image list.  Press the Red X button.  You will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete the image.  Press Yes to confirm or No to cancel.

Image list name order:
You can change the order of any image in your list by selecting the image and then using the arrow buttons to move the image name up or down in the list.

Using the Screen Capture Button:
Pressing the Screen Capture Button allows you to capture either the entire screen, or just a piece of it. To do a screen capture, simply make sure that the screen has everything on it in the position you want.  Now press the capture button. Outlook will minimize and a cross-hair will appear on the screen after a brief moment. To capture the entire screen simply press the escape key.  The viewing window will be displayed with the image of the entire screen in it.  Simply add a name for it and press the Ok button.

When capturing a section of the screen, follow the same procedure as above only don't press the escape key.  Simply move the cross-hair icon over the starting position of the area of screen you want to capture, press and hold the left mouse button and move the mouse to the position that causes the dotted line box drawn on the screen to contain the area you want. The size of the area in pixels will be displayed while you are drawing the box around the part of the screen you want. When you finish, simply release the left mouse button and that area of the screen will be captured and displayed in the viewing window. Type a name for it and press the Ok button.
Note:  The screen capture feature may not work properly on older operating systems like Windows 98.  If you are still using Windows 98 you should consider upgrading to a newer operating system as it is over 7 years old and does not provide things you really need in today's world.

Other methods of adding images to the image view:

Drag and Drop a file - This can work several ways.  Open a file folder on your hard drive.  Left-click an image name.  Press and hold the left mouse button and drag the file name over to the RealeSeller image viewer where the image is displayed.  Once over the image viewer, release the mouse button.  You will use the same sequence of events to add the image as if you browsed for the image using the image browse button.

Using the Copy command - If an image is being displayed in Internet Explorer, or in a paint program, etc.  You can copy the image into the Windows clipboard and then Paste it onto the RealeSeller image viewer.  Select the image, right-click it, select Copy, then right-click the RealeSeller image view control where the image is displayed, select Paste as New Image.  Again, you will use the same sequence of events to add the image as if you browsed for the image using the image browse button.

Add an image from the Clipboard - If there is an image in the clipboard, you can paste it into the RealeSeller image viewer by right-clicking the picture display area of the viewer and selecting Paste as New Image.

Copying an image in the RealeSeller image list:
If you would like to make a copy of an image you are viewing in the RealeSeller list view, first select the image itself by left-clicking it.  The image background will change color (blue by default).  Now, right-click the image and select Copy.  The image is now in the Windows clipboard.  You can paste it into any paint program and work on it.  Other programs sometimes recognize images in the clipboard like this.

Saving an image in the RealeSeller image list:
If you would like to save a copy of an image you are viewing in the RealeSeller list view, select the Attachments tab.  In the drop down list, select Pictures.  Find the name of the picture in the list of attachments and right-click it.  Select Save As...  Save the image to any folder you choose.  When you use this method to display your images, you have several other options when you right-click the image icon.  You can Open or Print the item.  If you choose Open, the image will be opened by the default windows program associated with the extension the image file has.  Printing will send the image to your default printer.

    RealeSeller Tip:
Hold down shift key and drag a picture or a picture file to the picture control and drop it.  You will not be prompted for the picture name, it will use the file name automatically.
