Adding A New RealeSeller™ Folder
New Folders:
RealeSeller adds several new folder types to Outlook and just like you can
create new Contact folders in Outlook, you can create new RealeSeller style
folders. All folders are created the same way so you can use this example,
which will create a new Prospect style folder, to use as a guide when creating
any type of folder in Outlook.
Adding the folder:
Start the process by going to the File menu, then select Folder,
and then New Folder...
This will open the Create New Folder dialog window:

The Create New Folder Dialog:
Using the Folder contains drop down list (1), choose the type of new folder
you want to create. In this example we will create a new Prospect folder
(2):

After selecting the type of folder (1),
select the folder you want to create your new folder in
(2). The structure is very much like a
folder on your hard drive. A single folder can contain many sub folders,
and any sub folder can also contain sub folders. In this case we are going
to create the new folder under the Personal Folders folder. This folder
contains all of your basic default folders and RealeSeller folders were created
under this folder when you installed the program. Next, type in the Name
(3) of the new folder. For this
example we are going to add a folder for our Sold Clients. Press the OK
button to finish up. Sometimes it takes several seconds to create a new
folder. Please wait for it to finish before going on to the next step.

Tip:
There have been times when the new folder creation process seems to take a long
time. Even though nothing appears to be happening, let Outlook finish the task.
If after a minute or so nothing has happened, it is possible that something went
wrong. Only end the Outlook task if you are certain Outlook is frozen.
The New Folder:
Once the newly created folder appears in your Folder List, you may want to
create a new short-cut like the RealeSeller installer did when it installed the
program. If so, follow the steps below to create a short-cut in the
RealeSeller short-cut list.

The Flex Folder:
A "Flex Folder" is a new folder type as of version 3.0. What this folder
does is allow all of the different types of RealeSeller views to be displayed in
a single folder. That means that Prospect Views, Property Views, Agent
Views, and Company Views can be seen in the Flex Folder. The reason this
view was developed was to allow you to convert your original Contact folder in
Outlook to a Flex Folder so that every type of RealeSeller view could be
contained in a single folder and then synchronized with your PDA. This
includes even Properties. You can read more about it in the
Flex Folder help section.
Creating A New Shortcut:
Depending on how you have your Outlook 2003 view set up, you may see something
similar to image (1) below, or if you are
like me and like to save space, you might have something like image
(2). Either way, select the Shortcuts
view. When the Shortcuts view is displayed, choose the
RealeSeller group (3).
Next, choose Add New Shortcut (4).
The New Shortcut Dialog Window:
This window allows you to choose the folder you want to add to your group.
Choose the Clients (Sold) folder we just created and press the OK
button.

Your New Shortcut:
Now that you have a new Clients (Sold) shortcut
(1), you may want to rearrange where it is located in your
RealeSeller group. Simply left-click the Clients (Sold) shortcut and hold
the mouse button down while dragging the icon to another position
(2) (note the dark blue place-holder line)
and release the mouse button (3). Your
new folder and shortcut have been created and you can start adding or moving
your sold clients to this folder.
