The Flyer Creator Advanced Text Editor Advanced Text Editing Features: All RealeSeller flyer templates are modified HTML pages. We did this for several reasons, but the main one is so created flyers could be emailed and viewed with any type of email program the reader might have. HTML is universal and other types of saved items require a reader of some type that the person receiving the email might not have. In order to make it easier to modify the text used in the flyer creator, any text can be modified using HTML codes. One section does it for you (see below image) using the special E button (1). Features, Bullet Points, Room Sizes, and Property Narrative can all be modified with this editing feature. Displaying the Advanced Text Editor: When text is displayed in the text section seen below, text displayed in the red box can be edited with the advanced editor. This advanced editor can be used in several ways and will be explained in other sections of this document. ![]() Getting started: In this example we are going to use Room Sizes to demonstrate the Advanced Editor features. First, select Room Sizes from the drop down list. Next, put a check in the Room Sizes checkbox. When you do this, all available room sizes will be added to the text box below the selection box (see above image). To edit the text, press the E button (1). When you do this the current flyer will be replaced with the Advanced Text Editor window. You treat this window just like any word processor. You can choose fonts, colors, bold, etc. and all the while you can mix and match just like in a normal text editor. When you finish, press the (B) button. This will convert the enhanced text into HTML code and it will look the same in your flyer. The Before and After will look something like the three steps in the image below: ![]() Step-1 displays the normal unmodified text. Step-2 you edit the text so that it looks the way you want it to display on your flyer. In Step-3 you press the Convert to HTML button (B) and the HTML code replaces your modified text. Now press the Changes don't look right: As with most things, you may not get perfect results from the automatic conversion process. The more complicated the changes are, the more likely it will not convert exactly the way you might want. One thing you can do is try putting the converted text into a table. Many times this will help. It does require that you know a little about HTML coding, but it isn't that complicated. See the example below. Adding an HTML Table: Add the following code (shown in blue) in front of the converted text: <table border=0 width=100% height=100%><tr><td width=100%> Add the following code to the end of the converted text: </td></tr></table> Other advanced text editing: As mentioned elsewhere, you can modify any text field listed in this text section of the Flyer Creator. It does require you know HTML coding, but you can change the way any text field is displayed by simply inserting your own HTML code. It is beyond the scope of this help file to teach HTML coding. But, we have allowed the person using this software who has the knowledge and the ability to do this, the ability to apply changes if needed. |
