to use the RealeSeller™ CSV Import Feature
Selecting the import program:
RealeSeller has two import programs. One is internal to RealeSeller and
one is external. The internal program does one thing, it creates a
RealeSeller Prospect and/or Property from your contacts in Outlook. The
external program imports data that has been exported from other contact or
prospect list managers. If you have been using Outlook as your contact
manager, you can use the internal import program. If you have already
exported the data from either another version of Outlook or another contact
manager and saved it as a comma separated file (CSV), you will use the external
import program. Both of these programs can be accessed from inside Outlook
and there is no need to shut down Outlook while doing your import. This
import documentation is broken up into two basic parts, one explains how to
import contacts you already have in Outlook, and the other explains how to
import data from an exported file. You can start either type of import by
going to Outlook and selecting File, RealeSeller Import, then
selecting either CSV Import or Outlook Contact Import.
CSV Contact Import:
If you have already exported the data you want to import from another contact
manager and the contact manager is in the list you can import it fully with just
a few mouse clicks. We ship RealeSeller with support to import 15
different contact manager exports. When you export the data from one of
the listed, or even an unlisted contact manager, make sure you export all
available fields. If your contact manager is not in this list, send us a
copy of the export file and we will create an import template for it. This
also includes any MLS export data. Contact us before emailing the database
so we can get it right the first time. You will see this window first:

Select the name of the contact manager from the list, then press the Next button and you will
see this window:

Press the Load File To Import. A browser window will open and you
can browse to the folder where the data file you saved is located:

When you locate your file, select it and press the Open button. You will
then see this window:

Depending on how many contacts are in the file, it may take a few moments to
load. RealeSeller pre-processes the data so that it will import faster.
When you are ready, press the Start Import button. At this point you should see this window:

Most of the time when you import contacts the default address wanted is Home,
but this may not be what you want. Follow the directions on the window for
your needs. You will now see this window:

Most of the time the import goes very quickly and all you have to do is watch.
You can cancel at any time. Once the import is finished you will see this
screen:

Depending on how many contacts were imported, this message will
tell you the number that were successfully moved into your prospects folder.
Normally that is all there is to it. You can close the windows, the import
is finished. If you were actually importing your Top Producer 7i contacts,
you would need to go back to the first window and select the properties next and
go through the same process. The 7i import is unique in the way you get
all the information into Outlook/RealeSeller. Once the properties are
imported they are linked automatically to the proper prospect. Currently
all other imports happen in a single pass.
